Brian Numainville, PRC
An accomplished consultant and the president of NUMINSIGHTS LLC, as well as a principal with Retail Feedback Group, Brian partners with businesses, nonprofits and trade associations, advising on research, stakeholder feedback and public relations/communication efforts. Brian co-authored Feedback Rules!, a book designed to provide helpful tips to better listen to customers, employees or business partners.
Before moving into consulting, Brian spent 18 years at Nash Finch Company, a Fortune 500 food wholesaler and retailer, where he led public relations, market research and the corporate foundation.
In addition to his extensive research expertise, Brian leverages a significant background in public relations, communications and cause marketing to benefit his clients. Brian designed and executed numerous impactful programs at Nash Finch that connected the company with the community including Feeding Imagination (130,000+ books donated to kids), Helping Hands in the Community Day, Feeding Imagination Games, and Books & Bikes. During Brian’s tenure as board chair, the NFC Foundation/Nash Finch received the prestigious Jefferson Award from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal. Brian has also served as a director on many nonprofit boards including Loaves & Fishes, Hands of Freedom and MATTER.
A recipient of the 40 Under Forty Award from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal, Brian has also been honored with the Alumni of Notable Achievement Award from the University of Minnesota and the WCCO-AM Good Neighbor Award. Brian earned his M.A. in Communication Studies and his B.A. summa cum laude in Communication Studies from the University of Minnesota. He also holds Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) from the Insights Association.
