Jane Channell, Canadian Olympic Skeleton Athlete

Meet Canadian Olympian Jane Channell, a skeleton athlete. Hear the tips and tricks she uses to stay focused as she races headfirst down a frozen track at 88 miles per hour on her sled. She’ll talk about her journey and how the ability to focus not only earned her a spot to compete at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, but also is helping her reach her goal to compete at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. During the session, you’ll learn how to apply the lessons she’s learned to the real game-time moments in your personal and professional life. To the session, please bring an open mind, pen, paper, and an item or memory that brings you joy.

Jane Channell, Canadian Olympic Skeleton Athlete 

Jane started sliding back in 2011. She was selected to the Canadian National Development Team in 2013, joining the Skeleton World Cup squad in 2015. Jane was named one of three women to represent Team Canada on the skeleton team at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics. She is currently working towards her goal of competing at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. This January, she competed in Germany, earning a bronze medal in her only World Cup race and placed eighth at World Championships, narrowly missing the podium by 0.30 seconds.
