2020 Summit Recap

During this year of uncertainty and inability to hold in-person events, the 5th Annual CONVERGENCE Summit was held virtually on August, 12 & 13, 2020. The Summit was highly successful as an online event featuring the same high-quality, engaging content. With 14 sessions and 19 speakers, participants heard the research, the applications, and the ideas to enhance their communication careers.

  • 149 registered participants (including members, nonmembers, speakers and volunteers)
  • 78% have more than 10 years of experience
  • 49% work for corporations

The response to the event was positive as participants expressed in the post-event survey

  • The Convergence Summit met or exceeded the expectations of 100 percent of respondents
  • 100% rated the conference as meeting or exceeding expectations
  • 70% indicated they would attend the 2021 Convergence Summit
  • 95% rated the conference as being useful to advancing their careers
