The 4th annual CONVERGENCE Summit held in March of 2019 was well received by the senior (executive) level PR, marketing and business communications leaders who attended. A summary of this day-long event sponsored by IABC Minnesota and the Minnesota Journalism Center | Hubbard School of Journalism & Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota includes:

  • 117 attendees (including members, nonmembers, speakers and volunteers)
    • 61% had more than 10 years of experience in business communications
    • 57% worked for corporations
  • Those who attended reported a positive experience as shown in the post-event survey:
    • More than 95% of survey respondents were very or somewhat satisfied with the content, quality of speakers, location and overall value of the conference
    • 83% rated the conference as significantly or somewhat useful to advancing their careers
    • 71% rated the conference as better than or a lot better than expected
